DRIVING medicals

Driving vehicles requires good judgement, technical skills and concentration. To certify fitness to drive requires a medical practitioner to consider risks involved in any medical conditions.

Special medical assessments are required for commercial drivers.  The guidelines are available on the Australian Government website:

Where one has a medical condition, a conditional licence may be granted, which allows driving in certain conditions or where restrictions are met.  For example, corrective lenses may be required.
