Nutrition and gut health

There is a great deal of interest in gut health these days. With increasing scientific evidence being mounted about the role of the 'gut' in our overall wellbeing, we recognise more than ever the importance of excellent nutrition.

There is also a great awareness of the benefits of intermittent fasting.

Animal studies show that intermittent fasting can reduce the risks of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and obesity, as well as improve general cognition and longevity. More and more people are taking up the challenge to fast intermittently. This can be achieved by various methods, such as the 5+2 diet, or extending the usual nocturnal food deprivation period to 14 or 16 hours per day.
